Great Greenway Tour

Experience a fun-filled day of cycling on Indiana's 62 mile paved rail trail system ‚Äì the Cardinal Greenway.

The Great Greenway Tour is a community bicycling event organized through local bicycle clubs, bicycle shops and Greenway volunteers designed to promote cycling and healthy lifestyles. Last year over 350 riders participated in the tour which benefits the maintenance of the Greenway across five Indiana counties.
Designed for all ages and cycling abilities, the GGT offers multiple route options departing from the ride headquarters in Muncie, the Jonesboro trail head in Grant County or the Richmond trail head in Wayne County.

Ride any distance 10, 20, 40, 80 or more than 100 with minimal distraction from road traffic. Most routes are out and back loops so you can customize your route to fit your style. Families find this tour a great first experience for young riders but veterans are equally challenged with the long route option.

Regardless of the route or distance you choose, you'll have the opportunity to visit city parks, traverse bridges, tunnel through underpasses, follow along rivers and take in the local cultural sites and sounds of east central Indiana.

Tour entry fee is $30.00 and includes a 2012 GGT t-shirt and lunch at either Marion, Muncie or Richmond. After July 8 the entry fee is $40.00 and includes a lunch only. Children 12 and under ride free with paid adult registration. Limited quantities and sizes of t-shirts may be purchased on-site.

Helmets are required. Sorry, no pets permitted on the ride.
